A wax-melting table lamp in wood and metal, 6.7 in (17 cm) across and 13.0 in (33 cm) tall. The bulb warms a candle from above instead of burning it, so the scent carries without a flame.

Plug-in, taking a GU10 bulb. Black or white.

No flame means no soot, no smoke and nothing to remember about on the way out of the room. It also means the candle lasts considerably longer than it would lit — the wax melts evenly from the top rather than tunnelling down the middle and stranding half of it against the glass.

The timer and the dimmer are what make it liveable. Set an hour in the evening and it turns itself off.
