A quiet box of light. A slim bamboo frame holds four translucent panels behind a shoji lattice, so what you get is a soft, even glow rather than a bright point — the trick Japanese interiors have used for centuries, sized for a bedside table.
Small enough to sit beside a book and a glass of water, and warm enough to read the room by rather than read a book by.

It is genuinely compact — an accent light for a nightstand, shelf or console, not a floor-filling lantern. Worth picturing next to a paperback before you order.

About the bamboo
Bamboo is a natural material. Colour variation, the occasional darker speck and visible growth nodes are characteristic of it rather than faults. The frame is pinned rather than glued, so small pin holes are visible on close inspection.
